Getting Card Sets

How do I get card sets for FlashCards for iPhone?

FlashCards for iPhone comes with free card sets for the four elementary math functions: multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. You can also create your own custom card sets!

I have a Dalmatian Press deck of flash cards. What do I do now?

Coming in the new 2012 packs you will be able to add new FlashCards! It will be easy to use the new Redemption Code, which will come inside your package.

Using FlashCards for iPhone

How do I navigate my card sets?

Open a card set by tapping on it within the app. Navigate between cards by swiping left and right. Dismiss the card set by swiping down. Tap on a card to flip it over and see the answer. Note that card sets with only one card will not swipe left or right.

How do I create custom card sets?

Tap the "+" button from the main screen and select "Manage Custom Sets". From here, you can tap the "+" button again to create a new card set and give it a name. Pressing the "+" button from the Edit Card Set screen will add new cards to your custom set.

How do I make custom cards?

When you are editing a custom card set, you can tap the "+" button to add a card to it. From the Edit Card screen, you can put text and/or an image on the front and back of the card. Tap on either gray rectangle to add an image from your device's camera or photo library to the front or back of your custom card.

How do I change an image on a custom card?

In the Edit Card screen, tap on the image you would like to replace. You will be able to choose a new picture.

Troubleshooting

I bought a deck of Dalmatian Press flash cards, but it didn't come with a redemption code. Where is it?

Not all of our card decks have been digitized for download within the FlashCards for iPhone app. We are working to add more digital decks to the app in 2012. Check back later to see if it's been added to our list of available digital decks in the new year.

Nothing happened when I entered my redemption code. What gives?

The most common cause for this problem is a failed download. Check to make sure that you have a good network connection and try again. We recommend downloading card sets over a Wi-Fi network.

I had to replace my iPhone or iPod touch. Can I re-download my card sets?

You can re-download any card sets that you obtained via redemption codes. Re-enter the same redemption code you used to download the card set originally.
